Camille Norment solo exhibition Festspillutstillingen 2023

Ars Fennica 2023

Camille Norment has been shortlisted for the Ars Fennica 2023 Art Prize.  The exhibition, held at the Kiasma Museum, Helsinki, opens 8 September 2023.

“Plexus” Opens at Dia:Chelsea

3 March 2022 opens Camille Norment's "Plexus", commissioned by the Dia Art Foundation. The exhibition experience is available through January 2023 and public programming "Constellations" series of conversations will include such as David Toop, Nina Sun Eidsheim, Stephon Alexander, Kathryn Yusoff, and performance is schelduled for November 2023. Norment's "Constellations" reading room contains literature and audio co-curated in collaboration with Seth Cluet and James Hoth, as well as contributions from visitors.

Munch Museum Performance Commission Teaser 22 October 2021

Pre-study for Ulleråker water tower, Uppsala, Sweden.

Results of the commissioned pre-study are showcased concurrent with Uppsala's Kulturnatten 2020 events. In the exploration, the immense empty water tank in the former water tower of Ulleråker, the town's previous heterotopic mental institution, becomes an inverse bell, a prolonged drone as a representation of the physical, psychological, and historical space of the site.

Resonance Sound Art Marathon at the Walker Art Center

An ear freshener and eye opener, the day is inspired by the Walker’s 1980 New Music America festival and the trajectory of jazz experimentation at the Walker. International artists—including Matana Roberts, Craig Taborn and Camille Norment, Walter Kitundu, Tarek Atoui, Haroon Mirza, Philip Blackburn, Jules Gimbrone, and Christine Sun Kim —perform in auditory and visual accord with the audience.

On Friday 5 December 2015 at 6pm, the Toll project is soundcast in the Artists Surround Sound Project at Art Basel Miami Beach, on the New World Symphony Center's Meyer Sound 160-speaker array system in SoundScape Park.  Camille Norment will also participate in the Art Basel Miami Talks Program on Saturday 6 December 2015, 2pm - 3pm at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
